OLD LYME GUEST HOUSE,   Coombe Street This part of Coombe Street used to be known as Horse Street. Between 1799 and 1853, this grey stone-faced property was the town's post office and the house retains it's original wooden post box set into the wall, its front fashioned from a single stout plank of wood - it is believed to be the oldest post box in the country.
