| Headlands Secondary School |
Headlands Secondary School was formed in 1943 when the secondary school sharing the Victoria Road site with the Swindon and North Wiltshire Technical Institute was merged with Euclid Street School. The new school continued to operate from both sites until 1952 when it moved to its present site.

The Community Centre is run by Pinehurst Community Association (a group of local people elected annually).
The Centre is owned by Swindon Borough Council and is home to many voluntary organisations, the Pinehurst Community Centre, health services, the local office of the MP for North Swindon and a canteen run by Swindon Services which is open weekday lunchtimes for low cost hot meals and cold snacks.
Behind the Infant and Junior Schools. There is pedestrian access from Beech Avenue. A large car park can be accessed from Olive Grove, off Whitworth Road.

URGENT NOTICE TO ALL TENANTS OF PINEHURST
THE P.T.A. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
WILL BE HELD IN THE PINEHURST COMMUNITY CENTRE
ON MONDAY 19 JULY 3004 @ 7.00pm
It may be the last ever meeting!!!

The Pinehurst Tennants Association has been around since 1932 promoting the rights and interests of people in Pinehurst in all aspects of housing (e.g. repairs, rents, neighbour nuisance etc.).
But this year's AGM will be 'make or break for the association due to the extreme shortage of volunteers. There are at present only two people to staff the office both of whom are getting on in years. If the association is to continue, more volunteers are urgently needed.
The office is open three days a week from 10.00am to 2.00pm to assist tenants with housing and evironmental problmes. We desperately need people who can spare 1, 2, 3 or even 4 hours per week. Together we can achieve much more than we can alone.
Two of our major achievements in the past year have been to get the Council to provide parking bays in the bungalows and to get improvements to Pinehurst West (plans now being drawn up).
We believe that Pinhurst needs a strong pressure group to advance and protect the best interests of the estate. We also believe that the Pinehurst Tennants Association is best equipped to fulfil this role.
To continue to do so we need more volunteers.
Come along to the AGM and see what we are about - unfortunately, if we do not recieve sufficient attendance and support at this meeting, the only item on the agenda will be to dissolve the association.

This is the home of Pinehurst Youth Clubs. It also has a large sports hall which can be hired by local sports groups.
