THE AGGLESTONE nr. Studland on the Isle of Purbeck
Having found the strange rock on the Isle of Wight, the Devil is said to have left it here as he attempted to drop it on Sailisbury Cathedral.

  WILTSHIRE
SILBURY HILL
The devil carrying an apron-full of soil to drop on the citizens of nearby Marlborough, he was stopped by the priests of nearby Avebury and dropped it to create the mound instead.
STONEHENGE
The devil is reputed to have purchased the stones from an Irish lady and secreted them to Salisbury Plain to erect the monument but was spied at his work by a passing friar.
