 Fiddleford Mill, Fiddleford, Dorset
Ordnance Survey Map Ref:
ST 801136
The mill is a small stone building near a fine medieval (14th & 15th century) manor house which is open to the public by English Heritage. An Armfield turbine replaced the waterwheel here to work the two sets of millwheels although the mill is now disused. The mill wall bears an interesting inscription dating from 1566 adjacent to the door and adjacent to the mill is a granary. Just upstream on the Stour, beyond the bridge, is the working Sturminster Newton Mill.
