The Iron Age hill fort between Wimborne Minster and Blandford Forum is thought to possibly be the site of the elusive "Mount Badon where a great Celtic leader, possibly King Arthur defeated the invading Saxons.

Cadbury Castle which crowns the hill overlooking the village of South Cadbury is thought by some to be the site of Arthur's Camelot.
